Bus crash in Talbot Co. under investigation
EASTON, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a crash involving a school bus in Talbot County.
Shortly before 8 a.m., troopers were called to the area of Route 328 (Matthewstown Road) at Three Bridges Branch Road for a reported crash involving a school bus. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Kia Sportage failed to stop at a stop sign at a four-way intersection, subsequently crashing into the side of the bus.
Nine children on the Caroline County School bus and the driver were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The juvenile driver of the Kia was also taken to a local hospital for treatment.
All parents of the children involved have been notified.
Police say charges may be pending. The investigation is continuing.
