Bus crash in Laurel investigated, no injuries reported

LAUREL, Del. – Police say no injuries were reported in a crash involving two buses in Laurel Tuesday morning.

According to Laurel Police, the crash took place shortly after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, in the area of W. 6th Street and Green Avenue. The crash involved Laurel High School Bus #27, occupied by a driver and 19 students, and Howard T. Ennis Bus #2, occupied by a driver, adult attendant, and three special-needs students.

No one was injured, and nobody involved required medical services. Police, fire, and EMS were dispatched as a preventative measure, per the standard protocol for school districts, bus companies, and 911 dispatch.

The scene was cleared just over an hour later, and both buses continued their routes to their respective destinations.
