Wicomico County kick off event to take place tomorrow

WICOMICO COUNTY. – As National recovery awareness month continues, Wicomico Goes Purple is ramping things up.

In partnership with the Delmarva Shorebirds, the tri-county kickoff event will take place tomorrow night at Arthur W. Perdue stadium at 6:30.

Program coordinator Jessica Taylor is excited to see community members come out and show support.
The whole idea is to encourage people to talk to their loved ones about the dangers of substance misuse.

“We have people that we can capture at all ranges, ages, kids on up, and grandparents in our community, and we can just have conversations and really touch on the subject that really needs to be shared,” Taylor said.

Get in on the action at Shorebirds stadium, it could be the catalyst for a very important conversation.
