CAMBRIDGE, Md. – A reported assault led to charges for three people in Dorchester County this week.

The investigation began late Thursday morning, when officers responded to the 400 block of Skinners Court for a reported disturbance involving a knife. Officers arrived at the scene and made contact with three subjects, identified as 38-year-old Durell Carr, 65-year-old Cynthia Carr, and 38-year-old Carrie Eason.

Police say Cynthia was holding ice to her forehead with visible injury and reported an argument had broken out between Durell and Eason. Cynthia reported that Eason then assaulted her by punching and kicking her, and Durell reported having to pull Eason off of Cynthia. It was learned that Durell had allegedly thrown a 10-inch knife at Eason from approximately four feet away, and that Cynthia had grabbed a tire iron and was threatening to hit Eason with it. Eason reported that she fought back in self defense.

All three were arrested as a result of the incident. Cynthia was charged with second degree assault and released on her own recognizance. Eason was charged with second degree assault and reckless endangerment, while Durell was additionally charged with first degree assault. Both were held without bond.
