Pair arrested following four-month-long drug investigation in Laurel
LAUREL, Del. – Two people are behind bars following the execution of a search warrant in Laurel Tuesday morning.
Shortly after 6 a.m., detectives executed search warrants at two residences in the 11400 block of Trussum Pond Road, which were obtained following a four-month-long drug investigation involving Alonzo Roberts. There were five adults in the residences at the time the warrants were executed, including Roberts and Heather Andrews.
The searches led to the seizure of the following:
- Approximately 14.43 grams of crack cocaine
- Approximately 20.32 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 30 bags containing approximately 0.21 grams of heroin
- Roughly $2,525 in suspected drug dealing money
- 21 Suboxone strips
- 35 unknown oval-shaped pills
- Numerous rounds of ammunition
- Various paraphernalia, including digital scales and distribution/packaging materials
Roberts was held at SCI on a $62,600 cash bond after being charged with two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition by a person prohibited, three counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Andrews was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on her own recognizance on these charges, however, was held on multiple violation of probation capiases.
