Ophelia flood waters force road closures in Crisfield, issues persist Sunday
Coastal flooding from tropical storm Ophelia inundated parts of Crisfield twice on Saturday.
Morning and evening high tide brought flood waters into the downtown area and nearby residential streets cutting off travel in several areas of the city.
Saturday evening’s high tide breached major flood stage along the Little Annemessex river in Crisfield. Despite Ophelia weakening into a tropical depression, flooding is expected to reach similar levels again at high tide on Sunday evening before subsiding into Monday.
