Oktoberfest to be held in Ocean Pines this year

OCEAN PINES, Md. – Oktoberfest will kick off in Ocean pines this year,
giving locals and visitors the opportunity to experience German culture.

The event will feature food vendors, family-fun games and of course, beer.

President of the Ocean Pines chamber of commerce, Kerrie Bunting, said aside from the festivities, Oktoberfest will also be the perfect time for vendors to showcase all they can offer, and give a boost to the local economy.

“Hopefully they get to have a great afternoon in Ocean Pines, but also, they’re going to meet a lot of different businesses,” Bunting said. “It’s that interaction between the potential customers and the people that the chamber strives for, so not only are we bringing the community together for a very fun event for people of all ages, but I’m getting businesses in front of potential people that they can serve and become customers.”

Oktoberfest will run from 1-6 p.m. and its free for all ages.
