Local pharmacy keeps parking lot open for community ahead of tropical storm
CRISFIELD, Md. – Local businesses over in Crisfield are offering a helping hand ahead of Tropical Storm Ophelia’s arrival.
Marion Pharmacy is keeping their parking lot open for anyone needing a safe place to keep their vehicle. Manager Maddie Johns told us they’re aware of the extreme impacts heavy rain and can have as that saltwater could cause major damage to cars.
Johns added that it’s the least they can do for a community that continues to support them. “Even without rain, a lot of these areas get a lot of tide. It goes into people’s houses, their vehicles, and it really takes a toll on the community for sure,” she said. “Here at Marion Pharmacy, we really care about the community so we’re just trying to help out in any way we can.”
Due to those incoming weather conditions, Marion Pharmacy has decided to close Saturday.
