Lift Church grand opening

SALISBURY. – Over 800 people gathered for the Lift Church’s grand opening in north Salisbury this morning.

The event saw inflatable’s, games and a service at the brand-new location of the church. Previously, the church had been worshipping at the Regal movie theater.

Their pastor said the new space allows them to have fun rooms for kids of all ages and even those with special needs.

Pastor Drew Freyder said as excited as they are with the new location, he is just as excited to see how it can be used to help the community.

“We’re partners with the HALO homeless shelter; we’re partners with other institutions in the city, we’re always trying to get behind them, so we’re not sure what comes in store, but we’re going to be open minded to lift anyone who needs food, shelter, water and care,” Freyder said.

Freyder tells 47 ABC they want to make church an accessible and fun place for people all ages, while leaving a positive impact on their community.
