GMD: Dancing with the Stars returns
GOOD MORNING DELMARVA – The hit series Dancing with the Stars returns Tuesday night! The show features celebrities who are paired with trained ballroom dancers to compete in themed choreographed dance routines, and judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts!
This year, it’s hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro an actor, TV director, award-winning dancer, and Broadway star, alongside Julianne Hough, an Emmy Award winner, entertainer, producer, and entrepreneur.
Both hosts have experience on the show and say they’re excited for the new season. A season which includes a new group, including celebrities such as
Tyson Beckford, Jason Mraz, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Xochitl Gomez, are all ready to put on their dancing shoes.
We sat down with both hosts who shared what they’re most excited about as seasoned Dancing with the Stars alum. “We’ve got to build up the energy, so let’s do this as a team, teamwork. So we can hold that space for them and have an understanding of the journey that they’re going through and be there for them and I think that that’s super important,” says Hough. Ribeiro adds, “That chemistry that happens on that stage becomes infectious, everyone feels it, everyone at home feels it, it’s a wonderful community that we’re all in. We call ourselves a family, we’re dancing with the stars family and once people are in, they’re part of the family and there’s so much love that happens in that ballroom that just makes the show very special.”
The show will make history once again becoming the first series to simulcast across both ABC and Disney+ and will be available the next day on Hulu.
Again, season 32 premiers Tuesday at 8 p.m. on ABC.
