Easton man sentenced for sexually assaulting teen

EASTON, Md. – An Easton man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a minor.

Last week, Rysheim Gibson pleaded guilty to third degree sex offense and was subsequently sentenced to 10 years behind bars, with all but 5 years suspended. On release, Gibson will be on 5 years of supervised probation and will be subject to 5 years of incarceration if he violates the terms of his probation.

In December 2022, Gibson was arrested for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old. Gibson was a registered sex offender in the State of Maryland at the time of the incident.
