Diakonia in need of fall, winter donations
OCEAN CITY, MD.- As the weather continues to get colder on the Eastern Shore, Diakonia is in need of donations.
Diakonia is trying to do its part to ensure homeless individuals can stay warm this season.
Executive Director, Ken Argot, said the organization is in dire need of donations as the weather gets cooler. This is especially the case for thicker, fall and winter-based clothes.
“We’re asking for blankets, jackets, hoodies, socks, gloves, hats, scarves, and we could always use hygiene products, too. Toothpaste, deodorant, etc.,” Argot said.
Aside from the winter clothes, Argot added that Diakonia will gladly accept camping gear, such as tents and hand warmers- and rain jackets and umbrellas as well.
If you have items that you’d like to donate, Argot said you can call the organization at 410-213-0923 to arrange a drop-off time.
