Delaware Sen. Tom Carper speaks at Leadership Delaware event
DOVER, De.- Delaware’s senior U.S. Senator Tom Caper paid a visit to Legislative Hall, Friday, to give a speech to the students of Leadership Delaware.
Leadership Delaware is a non-profit program that started in 2008, aimed at preparing Delaware’s future leaders for roles in business, nonprofit, and even education.
Leadership Delaware’s CEO Jennifer Cohan was pleased with the turnout today and said Senator Carper’s speech is always inspiring to the class of Leadership Delaware.
“What we do at leadership Delaware is we take young leaders from all over the state, all different business sectors, and we make them exceptional. We expose them to 150 different leaders in all business sectors across the state,” Cohan said.
Cohan said the class meets twice each month to discuss what it takes to be a good leader. For more information on how to join the program you can visit LeadershipDelaware.org
