Dagsboro man arrested following incident involving a knife

OCEAN VIEW, Del. – A Dagsboro man is behind bars following an incident involving a knife early Wednesday morning.

At around 5:15 a.m., troopers responded to a residence in the 31000 block of Hope Street in Ocean View for a reported disorderly conduct incident. It was learned that a verbal argument broke out between an 18-year-old woman and her roommate’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Timothy Lawrence. During the argument, the victim told Lawrence to leave, at which time Lawrence allegedly pulled out a knife from his pocket and waved it in the victim’s face. As Lawrence walked toward the door to leave the room, he stabbed the door with the knife.

No one was injured.

Lawrence was arrested and charged with aggravated menacing and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was held at SCI on a $7,000 secured bond.
