Caravel puts muzzle on ‘Dogs offense
LAUREL, Del. – Caravel showed they are on a different level than Laurel at this point in the season. The Bucs traveled south to Laurel and defeated the Bulldogs, 21-3, Friday night.
The Bulldogs had a hard time getting anything going on the ground against the ferocious defensive line of Caravel led by junior James Steel in the middle, and sophomore Jonah Smith on the end.
Laurel capitalized on a recovered fumble deep in Caravel territory in the final minutes of the second quarter.
Senior kicker Bradley Lopez Vasquez split the uprights as time expired on the first half.
Laurel (2-2) is on their bye week. They will travel to play Woodbridge on Friday, October 6.
