Cape wins season opener with goal line stand

LEWES, Del.– Cape Henlopen defeated Red Lion in a final score of 21-14 on Thursday night.

Capes’ Jameson Tingle would connect with Lextyn Wescott to give the Vikings a 7-0 lead in the 1st. The Vikings would keep the momentum on their side as Tingle would toss out a pass to Maurki James, and James would take it all the way down the side to the house for 6.

Red Lion would come all the way back in the 2nd half and would pull within 7, but the Cape defense  hold the line in the redzone with 27 seconds left to keep the lead and seal the win.
