American Idol “Idol Across America” coming to Delmarva
DELMARVA – Do you have what it takes to be the next American Idol? If so, keep reading because American Idol is looking for the next big star on Delmarva.
Wednesday, September 6th, “Idol Across America” will hold virtual auditions for Delaware and Maryland residents. Hopefuls can sign up to audition face-to-face in front of producers in the comfort of their own homes, and receive real-time feedback for a chance at making idol history and being crowned the next ‘American Idol’ for season seven on ABC.
We sat down with Patrick Lynn, Senior Supervising Producer who explained, “All you have to do is go to AmericanIdol.com, sign up, you’ll get a link to a Zoom room where you will come and see me, I’ll walk you through the whole process and you’ll try out for the show.”
In terms of advice, Lynn says, “Pick a good song, sing a good song, and perform a good song.” He goes on to say, “We get a lot of people that might technically sing well. but when it comes to performing, they reel it in. I’m always encouraging people, don’t reel it in, reel it out, and let it all hang out. Have fun with it, and who knows you could be the next American idol, it’s anybody’s ball game.” Lynn also advises to have at least two songs picked out when you audition, and just simply be yourself.
As he mentioned if you’re looking to audition, click here for the link to their website, and fill out a short profile.
Again, auditions are on Wednesday, September 6th.
