PACT Act deadline extended
MARYLAND.- Veterans who want to apply for the PACT Act are in luck, as the enrollment deadline has been pushed back.
The PACT Act is a new law that expands VA health care and benefits for veterans exposed to burn pits, agent orange and other toxic substances.
The new deadline is August 14th, by 11:59p.m. and all veterans who qualify will have their benefits backdated to August 10th of last year.
In a statement from Delaware’s Senior U.S. Senator Tom Carper, he encouraged veterans to apply by the new deadline.
“As the last Vietnam veteran serving in the senate, I encourage all of my fellow veterans and their survivors to see if they are eligible for benefits under the PACT Act,” Senator Carper said.
