One dead, three injured, in two early morning shootings in Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Four people were shot in Cambridge early Monday morning, one dying from his injuries. Cambridge Police say the application “ShotSpotter” alerted them to gunfire on Jimson Road around 12:25AM. They say a 25-year-old, a 19-year-old and and 18-year-old had been shot. All three were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Police say several vehicles and residences had been damaged by gunfire in the area.

At 12:30AM, Police responded to Henry Street after receiving a 911 call of another person shot. They found 37-year-old Kenneth Ramcharan dead near the back steps of a home. Police say he suffered several gunshot wounds. Maryland State Police Homicide unit has been called in to investigate.

Cambridge Police say it is unclear if the two incidents are related. Anyone with information should call Police at 410-228-3333, callers can remain anonymous.
