Millsboro man sentenced to prison for possession of Molotov Cocktail

MILLSBORO, Del. – A Millsboro man has been sentenced to more than seven years behind bars for possessing a destructive device known as a “Molotov Cocktail”.

According to court documents, 25-year-old Job Gillette amassed 17 Molotov Cocktails, additional raw materials, an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, ammunition, and a ballistic vest, which he was reportedly keeping in a shed outside of the group home in which he lived. Gillette had taken measures to maximize the harmful impact of his weapons, including adding styrofoam to them to “help the burning liquid adhere to the target and create clouds of thick, choking smoke”, as well as adding screws and nails to increase their destructive impact.

Additionally, Gillette had threatened to “blow up or burn down” the group home that he lived in. He reportedly also believed in the New World Order, a conspiratorial idea that powerful entities are manipulating governments to create a one-world totalitarian government.

Gillette was sentenced to a total of 87 months in federal prison.
