Inaugural Taco Festival makes big debut in Ocean City
OCEAN CITY, Md.- Taco fans were in paradise this weekend as the inaugural Taco Festival making a strong debut over in Ocean City.
Thousands flocked to the OC convention center to explore several restaurants and food trucks serving up over 75 styles of Tacos.
There was also live music and entertainment, and a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy.
We caught up with a few festivalgoers who tell us it’s good to see more of these experiences coming to the shore. “Sometimes on the shore you feel like you get looked over because anytime you mention Maryland people think of Baltimore. Ocean City is an afterthought. So, if there’s anything going on that can put the Eastern Shore on the map im all for it there,” Marcea Redden said.
“All the tacos I’ve had so far today have been pretty good. I like trying things I typically wouldn’t try because I’m at a festival. It’s no harm in trying new things.”
Organizers also say this weekend’s strong turnout is a good sign the event will make a return next year.
