High School Football Preview: Woodbridge Blue Raiders

GREENWOOD, Del.– Woodbridge is looking to bounce back this upcoming season after last year’s 2-8 finish. Last season didn’t go the way the Raiders had hoped after making it to the state championship game the previous season. We went out to the Bridge earlier today and head coach Marvin Dooley told us we definitely can expect a different team for this upcoming year. Changes have been made on both sides of the ball- but as the season quickly approaches, coach Dooley had this to say about how the team has prepared during the offseason.

“Camp has been fantastic- we have a lot of young guys that have developed over in the weight room- and it’s shown on the field as we’ve gone through the first few weeks. So it’s been exciting because they’ve been excited and we’re looking forward to Seaford come week 1. Well our last game of the year when we lost out here- our motto was Return of the Raiders and that’s carried over all winter and it’s carried over this camp so I think their mindset has been what we said- which return of the Raiders in 2023,” said Coach Dooley.
