High School Football Preview: Bennett Clippers

WICOMICO COUNTY, Md.–  Last season didn’t not go the way the Clippers were hoping as they finished the season with a overall record 0-10. Now that season is in the rearview mirror, and head coach Greg Lasinski says the culture is different for this year and that players are stepping up and being leaders. he also told us the Clippers are ready to get after it and show the bayside what they have to offer.

“We’ve talked a lot about changing the standard here, the standard can’t stay the same when you don’t win. So we’ve been on them about that in camp, and slowly but surely they’ve been changing that standard themselves. You know getting away, hey coaches have to tell you to get from drill to drill, now players are doing it. Or coaches correcting the play to players helping each other. So we’re getting there, they’re taking it upon themselves, we have a really good group of captains here that have been around the program and are ready to be leaders,” said coach Lasinski.
