Harrington man charged in connection to Frederica home burglary

FREDERICA, Del. – A Harrington man has been arrested in connection to a home burglary that took place late last month in Frederica.

During the evening hours of July 27th, a 35-year-old man reportedly returned to his home on Jackson Street in Frederica when he noticed that a safe had gone missing and his window air conditioner had been moved. Through the investigation, troopers linked 27-year-old Rykiem Shrieves to the incident.

Shrieves was taken into custody on Thursday after troopers stopped to help him with his disabled car on Coastal Highway in Lewes.

Shrieves was charged with second degree burglary and theft over $1500, both felonies. He was released on his own recognizance.
