First Baptist Church hosts back-to-school bash
SALISBURY, Md.- The First Baptist Church held a back-to-school bash for students preparing for the upcoming school year.
Community members gathered at the church Saturday afternoon for the event that featured live music, free food and give aways for the students of the upcoming school year.
And outside of all the fun, the USDA was also present, giving attendees the chance to learn more about agriculture.
Church minister Kenneth Watson said the event was an opportunity to not only support those families and expand their reach.
“It’s a message to let everybody know that The First Baptist is here to serve the community,” Watson said. “We want to be a resource and we want to express our love and make a difference as they gear up for the 2023-24 academic year.”
