Easton man charged in connection to March burglary
EASTON, Md. – An Easton man has been charged in connection to a burglary that happened earlier this year.
On March 7th, officers responded to ChinCheck Sports Locker for a reported burglary. Officers arrived at the scene to find that a large glass pane window in the front of the store was broken. The store owner told police that the incident happened the night prior and that he found a brick inside of the store, which was believed to have been used to break the window.
As officers were inspecting the broken window, they found that most of the broken glass pieces were on the inside of the store and found what appeared to be blood around the broken window. Inventory was conducted and an estimated $2,429 in Under Armor merchandise was determined to have been stolen. The blood collected at the scene was processed by the Maryland State Police Crime Lab, and it was determined to match the DNA of 61-year-old Allen Wilson.
Police served an arrest warrant on Wilson on Thursday, charging him with second and fourth degree burglary, theft, and malicious destruction of property. He was later released to the custody of the Talbot County Detention Center.
