Dover man charged with resisting arrest following traffic stop
FELTON, Del. – A Dover man was arrested following a traffic stop Thursday afternoon in Felton.
The investigation began when Felton officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 300 block of West Main Street. It was learned during the stop that the vehicle was unregistered and did not have insurance. The driver, identified as 34-year-old Jamar Hynson, reportedly refused to get out of the vehicle and locked himself inside. He was eventually taken into custody following a brief struggle with officers.
Hynson was charged with resisting arrest, driving while suspended or revoked, failure to have required insurance, expired tags, and driving a motor vehicle while using an electronic communication device.
He was later released on his own recognizance.
