Dover homes damaged by gunfire, police investigating
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating after two houses were damaged by gunfire earlier this week.
Officers responded to a home in the 1300 block of Forrest Avenue just after 9 a.m. Tuesday for a criminal mischief complaint, discovering that the home had been hit by gunfire. While at the scene, another victim in the area met with police to report that their home and property had been hit by gunfire as well.
Police believe that the incident took place overnight Monday into Tuesday. There are no leads at this time.
Both homes were occupied at the time of the shootings, but no injuries were reported.
