City of Salisbury brand new Downtown headquarters

SALISBURY, Md. – The City of Salisbury unveiling its brand new downtown headquarters.

Salisbury Mayor Jack Heath is about to cut the ribbon on the brand new Salisbury Head Quarters Building.
This is where Salisbury city council will be holding their meetings, and where Salisbury Mayor Heath’s office is.

The winner of the Maryland Folk Festival Poster Challenge will also be announced during the ribbon cutting event.
Members of the public have had since late July to vote on their favorite of the top ten posters.

The winner will earn a two thousand dollar prize, and posters will be sold at the festival set for September 22 to 24 in Downtown Salisbury.

Jordan Ray with the City of Salisbury is excited for the public to see the new headquarters and hear the announcement for the Maryland Folk Festival.

“Just making it a central hall for everyone to come to where we don’t have to travel across the street where everyone is able to be welcomed here and it is also right next to our visitor center,” Ray said. “So we wanted to have something that is very welcoming to everyone where they can come out to and feel welcome, but also share their voices, ideas and opinions all here at the city chamber council.”
