Case against Berlin man accused in fatal hit and run of Gavin Knupp dismissed

WORCESTER CO., Md. – The man allegedly behind the fatal hit and run of Gavin Knupp appeared in court on Friday.

A Worcester County judge dismissed the case against Tyler Mailloux over lack of jurisdiction. Charges can be refiled in district court.

Worcester County State’s Attorney Kris Heiser tells us that the State has already filed an appeal and is awaiting the decision of the appellate court at this time.

Mailloux was charged in early May for the incident that took place in July of 2022.
