Camden Wyoming man charged with felony assault

CAMDEN WYOMING, Del. – A Camden Wyoming man is behind bars after police say he attacked a person with a box cutter after they got into a fight over internet access.

According to the Delaware State Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:25 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2023 when troopers were called to a home on the 200 block of Allabands Mill Road for reports of a physical altercation.

Troopers arrived and made contact with an injured 19-year-old man near the home, according to police.

The investigation revealed that the victim and his roommate, identified as Justin Watson, got into a fight over internet access, which police say led to Watson attacking the victim with a box cutter.

Police made contact with Watson at his home where he was taken into custody. The victim was treated and released from an area hospital with serious injuries.

Watson was charged with Assault Second Degree (Felony) and Possession of a Deadly Weapon (Felony). He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $14,000 secured bond.
