Worcester Co. Sheriff honored as “First Responder Who Makes A Difference”
SALISBURY, Md. – On Wednesday, 47 ABC teamed up with four Tire Pro locations to honor the First Responder Who Makes A Difference for the month of July.
We surprised Worcester County Sheriff Matt Crisafulli, who was nominated for his passion to go above and beyond for his department and community. We’re told Sheriff Crisafulli’s kindness, focus on mental health, and leadership abilities truly encompass what it means to be a first responder.
The Sheriff says he was shocked and in awe of this award, but owes it all to the community he serves and those he serves with.
“We all work together cohesively to make Worcester County a great county to live in so it’s a very humbling experience to walk in and to see all these wonderful faces and to get this recognition. It’s the feeling in your heart when you’re helping human beings, when you are saving lives when you’re just going on a call in someone’s worst time and you are just there to listen, you’re helping people and you’re making a difference in their lives, money can never repay that,” said Crisafulli.
The Tire Pros locations gave Sheriff Crisafulli a gift basket filled with goodies to keep his car in tip top shape, and he’s in the running to win a new set of tires this December.
One first responder will be honored each month June through November, leading into the grand prize drawing. Enter one you think is making a difference in the community here.
