Stockton man sentenced for hit and run, separate drug investigation
SNOW HILL, Md. – A Stockton man has been sentenced to nearly two decades in prison for his convictions in two separate cases.
46-year-old Eddie Collick was ordered to serve four years for failing to immediately stop his vehicle at the scene of an accident involving death, and a consecutive 15-year sentence for distribution of cocaine. The judge suspended seven years of the sentence and placed Collick on three years of supervised probation on release.
The traffic charge stems from a crash on August 14, 2020, in the area of West Market Street and Coulbourne Lane in Snow Hill. Deputies responded and found two victims who had been ejected from the vehicle and were laying in a field. Those victims were identified as Richard Armstrong and Brandon Bibbins, who both died from their injuries. Further investigation revealed that Collick got engaged in street racing with the victims’ vehicle, causing that vehicle to lose control and crash into a utility pole. Collick then failed to stop and remain at the scene.
The drug charges stem from an investigation in September 2022, during which Collick distributed cocaine to an undercover police officer in the area of Baltimore Avenue in Ocean City.
