Selbyville warehouse fire ruled accidental

SELBYVILLE, Del. – A fire that heavily damaged a Selbyville business Tuesday morning has been ruled accidental.

The fire was reported just before 7:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Dixon Street, at Avalanche Industries. Firefighters battled an active fire inside the building’s attic space.

Fire marshals were called to investigate, determining that the fire was accidental and was caused by faulty electrical wiring. There were no reported injuries, and total damage was estimated at $20,000.
