SBY Police Department seek CALEA re-accredidation
SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury Police Department is working toward its eleventh CALEA re-accreditation
CALEA is the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The commission was put in place to implement standards of best practices for police departments across the nation. Salisbury Police want to hear from the community to learn how the department can enhance itself to better serve its citizens.
“It allows the community, the citizens we provide service to – it gives them a voice where they can reach out to CALEA directly and say some of the good things that are going on or some of the things that they would like to see different,” Sergeant Mike Loring, with the Salisbury Police Department said.
