Salisbury Riverfest set to return downtown
SALISBURY, Md.- All roads will lead to downtown Salisbury next weekend as the second annual Salisbury Riverfest is set to return.
Salisbury’s Arts Business and Culture Department says the event is a celebration of the Wicomico River.
You’re encouraged to bring your kayak for the Wacky River competition and check out the rubber duck races which will support Kind SBY.
Organizers say craft vendors, food trucks, and activities for the whole family will also be available.
They also tell 47ABC the event is also a great opportunity to highlight all that downtown has to offer. “You can enjoy the beautiful river, see some of the nearby public art, and you can support some of the businesses downtown by doing some shopping while you’re here. It really kind of brings everything together,” ABC Department’s Vanessa Junkin said.
New this year is the dunk-a-thon where you’ll get the chance to send volunteers splashing down.
You can get in on the action next Saturday, July 29th from 3pm-7 pm.
