Portion of road in Georgetown to temporarily close August 1st

GEORGETOWN, Del. – A portion of Patriots Way in Georgetown will soon be closed for the replacement of a cross road pipe.

DelDOT says the roadway will be closed between Avenue of Honor and Zoar Road beginning on Tuesday, August 1st. The road is scheduled to remain closed through Wednesday, August 23rd, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling southbound on Patriots Way will detour right onto Zoar Road, left onto Governor Stockley Road, left onto Bethesda Road, left onto Avenue of Honor, then return to Patriots Way.

Motorists traveling northbound on Patriots Way will detour left onto Avenue of Honor, right onto Bethesda Road, right onto Governor Stockley Road, right onto Zoar Road, and return to Patriots Way.
