Magnolia man arrested on gun, drug charges

DOVER, Del. – A Magnolia man was arrested early Wednesday morning on drug and gun charges following a traffic stop.

At around 1 a.m., officers on patrol stopped a vehicle after watching a vehicle fail to stop at a red light at the intersection of College Road and Saulsbury Road before continuing at a high rate of speed. Contact was made with the driver, identified as 29-year-old Jordan Patrick, who was found to have an active capias for his arrest.

A subsequent search of Patrick and his vehicle led to the recovery of a 9mm handgun, 72 grams of marijuana, and 14 grams of mushrooms, which tested positive for methamphetamines’.

Patrick was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine in a tier 2 quantity, possession of marijuana other than personal use, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and multiple traffic stops. He was later released on a $23,603 unsecured bail.
