Five arrested following shooting investigation in Dover
DOVER, Del. – A total of five people have been charged following a shooting that took place in Dover Sunday evening.
Just after 6:30 p.m., troopers responded to a reported shooting at a large party at the soccer field in the 200 block of Lewis Drive. Troopers found a 30-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound and found two vehicles that had been hit by gunfire. One of the vehicles was occupied by a 30-year-old woman and 34-year-old man. Neither were injured.
The 30-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital for her injury and is listed in stable condition.
Witnesses reported that multiple subjects were shooting at each other and one of the suspects fled in a silver 2007 Mercury Milan. Shortly before 10 p.m., officers on patrol with the Dover Police Department stopped the Milan, and all five occupants were taken into custody. Troopers searched the vehicle and found two concealed handguns and additional ammunition.
22-year-old Sabre Bratcher was charged with first degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, two counts of first degree reckless endangering, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000. She was held at the Baylor Womens Correctional Institution on a $61,500 cash bond.
20-year-old Jason Cruz was held at SCI on a $134,000 cash bond on irst degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, two counts of first degree reckless endangering, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000 charges.
19-year-old Taron Marsh was charged with first degree assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person under 21, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, first degree reckless endangerment, second degree conspiracy, and criminal mischief under $1000. He was held at SCI on a $126,500 cash bond.
Additionally, a 16-year-old male and 17-year-old male were charged with various offenses. The 17-year-old was released to his parent on a $5,000 unsecured bond, while the 16-year-old was released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
