UPDATE: Vacant house fire in Crisfield ruled arson
3 p.m. UPDATE: Maryland Fire Marshals have determined that this fire was arson.
The vacant home, located at 308 Locust Street, suffered nearly $90,000 in damages as a result of the blaze. It was determined that the fire began on the first floor of the home.
Officials say this is the third vacant house fire in Crisfield since October 2022. The other fires took place at 2 West Main Street on October 9th, and 201 North Third Street on October 12th. Fire marshals ask anyone with information on these incidents to reach out to local law enforcement or the Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.

CRISFIELD, Md. – An abandoned residential structure was destroyed early Monday morning in Crisfield.
Shortly after 5 a.m., firefighters from Crisfield, Marion, Fairmount, and Lower Somerset EMS were called to respond to a residential structure fire in the area of Locust Street and Canal Street. Crews worked for approximately two hours on the blaze inside an abandoned structure.
The investigation was turned over to the Maryland State Fire Marshal to determine the cause of the fire.
