FELTON, Del. – A Felton man was arrested last week in connection with a shoplifting incident.

The incident happened at around 11 p.m. on June 6th, at the Felton Royal Farms. Police learned that a male suspect walked into the store and stole merchandise before leaving. Video surveillance led police to positively identify the suspect as 36-year-old Todd Hockensmith, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest.

On July 7th, Delaware State Police came in contact with Hockensmith on an unrelated case and subsequently took him into custody.

Hockensmith was charged with shoplifting under $1500 as well as four outstanding capias warrants. He was released on his own recognizance and issued a no contact order with the Felton Royal Farms as a result of the shoplifting and was turned over to the Capital Police for the remaining outstanding warrants he had.
