DelDOT announces upcoming Seaford road closure

SEAFORD, Del. – DelDOT has announced the upcoming closure of Old Furnace Road between Middleford Road and Old Meadow Road.

The closure is set to begin on Monday, July 17th, for engineering investigation work at the bridge over the Nanticoke River. Work is expected to wrap up on Friday, July 21st, weather permitting.

Motorists traveling westbound on Old Furnace Road will be detoured right onto Coverdale Road, turn left on SR 404, then turn left onto Route 13 to return to Old Furnace Road. Motorists traveling eastbound on Old Furnace Road will travel on Route 13 to SR 404, travel east on SR 404, then turn right onto Coverdale Road to return to Old Furnace Road.
