CAMP Rehoboth announces new leadership, big focus on increasing outreach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.- CAMP Rehoboth recently revealing a new face in leadership.

We had the chance to sit down with the new Executive Director Kim Leisey. She tells us her big goal is to connect with staff and the greater community.

Currently, the nonprofit faces challenges with funding and tells 47ABC they’re always looking for grant opportunities, sponsorships, and ways to increase membership.

There has been a high rate of turnover in the role, but Leisey tells us she’s dedicated to public service and ready to fully invest in the community. “Given that my work in the past has been about creating environments where people can thrive and be their authentic selves, this position called me. Simple as that,” Leisey said.

“When I talk to the community and the stories they tell me about this place, they always get tears in their eyes because it means that much to them. I’m here for the long haul.”

Leisey says she’s also focused increasing available mental health resources, services for the aging population, and getting more youth involved with the center.
