Cambridge residents to choose new street name
CAMBRIDGE, Md.- Cambridge residents are getting the opportunity to vote on a new name for a street being added to the harbor.
Community members will get to narrow the street name category down to one theme: Maritime heritage. From there, the BCT design group in Baltimore will work to create three names based on the theme. Executive director of Cambridge Waterfront Development Matt Leonard said they city wants its residents to be involved in the process.
“We decided we wanted their help in naming this new road,” Leonard said.
The three name options will be represented at the new road on August 8th, starting at 5:30p.m. The free event will include ice cream and Cambridge Harbor merchandise giveaways.
