Blades man arrested on 4th DUI

1280 Waller

BLADES, Del. – A Blades man is behind bars on felony DUI and other related charges.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday, a trooper on patrol saw a vehicle traveling westbound on Concord Road, in the area of Sussex Highway, and recognized the driver. It was confirmed that the driver, 56-year-old Christopher Waller, had a suspended driver’s license. The trooper subsequently tried to stop the vehicle, but Waller continued driving to his residence in the 100 block of East 2nd Street. After Waller stopped the truck in his yard, he complied and was taken into custody.

The trooper noticed that Waller was behaving in an erratic manner and was showing signs of impairment. A computer check showed that he had three previous DUI convictions.

Waller was held at SCI on a $9,020 cash bond for 4th offense DUI, disregarding a police officer signal, resisting arrest, driving while suspended, and failure to have insurance in possession.
