Governor Carney visits fair for Governor’s day

HARRINGTON, Del.-  Governor John Carney spent the day checking out various activities and meeting plenty of people, for Governor’s Day.

Governor Carney made stops at various agricultural and environmental agencies and organizations. He said Governor’s day is always a fun one for him, because he’s able to show his appreciation for Delaware farmers.

“I love Governor’s day at the fair,” Governor Carney said. “It’s a special day for agriculture in our state and it’s a special day for me as Governor. I’m treated pretty special coming through; it’s just an opportunity for me to say thanks to those who make agriculture strong in our state.”

Governor Carney added that while it’s going to be  extremely hot outside these coming days, you should still make your way to the fair to meet all the farmers at the fair and enjoy the food, games, rides and excitement.
