Second annual Impact Festival returns to Bridgeville on Saturday
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – The second annual Impact Festival, organized by the Inspiring Project Founder Chase Marvil, is set for this Saturday.
A day filled with positivity, family fun, and continuing Marvil’s mission to educate the youth and community on mental health.
Back in 2013, Woodbridge High School student Marvil began a social media movement called the Inspiring Project. It blossomed into a global movement where people can simply post a photo with a quote or encouraging caption, add #theinspiringproject, and in turn, help uplift others. Last year, the first-ever festival found much success, and this year, the goal remains the same: breaking the stigma around mental health.
There will be food trucks, craft vendors, public organizations, an Adventure Park with inflatables, games, a petting zoo, giveaways, and so much more.
I always go back to when I first started my organization — I never would have expected it to be something like this but the involvement of different organizations and different community members that have been able to help grow this mission and this project overall has been a true blessing,” said Chase Marvil.
100% of the proceeds from the event will benefit The Inspiring Project’s annual scholarships and funding to mental health and suicide prevention organizations. Admission is free to the public, but food trucks, vendors, and the Adventure Park admission comes at a cost.
The festival kicks off Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bridgeville Library.
