Rehoboth Beach fireworks show set for Sunday, July 2nd
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – In order to comply with fire marshal safety requirements, the Rehoboth Beach fireworks display will be launched from the beach at New Castle Street.
The show is scheduled to start around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 2nd.
For safety, the beach from south of Philadelphia Street from Stockley to Hickman will be closed starting at 9 a.m., with the New Castle and Hickman beach access points closed.
Portable restrooms will be available at various street ends along the stretch of beach from Grenoble to Queen Street from Sunday morning until their removal by mid-day Monday.
Additionally, road closures will begin at around 6 p.m. around the bandstand, and around 7 p.m. on Henlopen and Surf Avenues. Vehicles will not be able to cross Rehoboth Avenue at the circle starting at 7 p.m., and Rehoboth Avenue eastbound and Church Street from Route 1 will be closed around 8 p.m.
There is no rain date for the firearms. The show will take place on July 2nd if at all possible, even if they must launch early or late due to weather.
