Overnight closures of Route 90 to begin June 18th

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Overnight closures on Route 90 in Ocean City will start this weekend.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin an overnight milling and patching project on Sunday, June 18th, on Route 90 from Route 50 to Route 113. Work is expected to be finished by the end of the month, weather permitting.

Crews will work from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays. During construction hours, Route 90 will be completely closed in both directions. The following detour will be in place:

• Motorists traveling east on Route 50
  • continue east on US 50 to MD 589 (Racetrack Road)
  •  turn left onto MD 589 and follow to MD
    90
  • turn either east or west onto MD 90
• Motorists traveling west on Route 90
  • continue west on MD 90 to MD 589
  • take a right onto the ramp to MD 589
    south (left at light)
  • follow MD 589 to US 50, and take US
    50 west
