Nonprofit hosts first-ever fundraiser to support youth programming
DELAWARE- Boomerang Community Outreach is now looking for a helping hand to continue their programming.
The nonprofit provides outreach services to youth ages 5 to 17 and their families. The focus is on social and behavioral skills, personal development, and promoting positive mental health. They recently celebrated 3 years of serving communities across Delaware.
We spoke with Founder Daneica Page who tells us they’re now seeking donations for their SWAG and summer youth programs. “The goal for that is to just keep the children engaged throughout the summer. I know a lot of times there’s not too many things for them to do if they’re not involved in youth programs,” Page said.
“We’re just trying to increase what we do and how we service the community. We can’t do that without the proper funding. Everything we do for the organization is free of charge to the children and families.”
The nonprofit is now hosting their first-ever fundraiser now through June 26th sponsored by Sentsy. They’re selling scent circles in a set of 6 for $20. The money will also go to support 10 kids in the program as they take their first field trip to Cape May, NJ.
